The Result
Our design incorporated a traditional green oak frame with curved braces and mortise and tenon joints with oak weatherboarding that would naturally silver and blend in with the surrounding woodland over time. Two bays were left open for ease of parking, with a smaller fully enclosed bay for secure storage and to house an internal staircase. Reclaimed clay peg tiles were used on the roof to give the building some age and to match in with the existing property, Velux windows were also used to provide natural light in the first floor space.
Suffice to say that we are delighted with our new garage and greatly reassured by this leading example of young British entrepreneurs leading the field in a very competitive market.
